14:51 Teachers` Workshop in Kolomyia |
On October 24 at Kolomyia Lyceum № 6 there was the second meeting of the author's creative workshop of English language teachers (the head - Volodymyr Gratsiansky). Teachers continued to master the issue of "Social Networking and Messengers as a Virtual Learning Environment in Teaching English."
The members of the workshop - 12 teachers of Ivano-Frankivsk region (among them there are the representatives of our district Iryna Mazur and Ivanna Rudiak) - started their work with the input questionnaire. According to teachers, the use of social networks and messengers in lessons is a time-consuming and one of the main driving forces in students' motivation to learn. Therefore, in their work, teachers actively use social media for various purposes: for organizational moments, communication with parents, for questions and answers, exchanging links to useful sites, etc.
The participants of the author's workshop discussed the possibilities and expediency of using different media, selected the best ways of their introduction in the educational process. Then the teachers moved on to practical tasks. It should be noted that each participant is working on them daily and in the online mode is discussed all aspects of the work. For reflection, the head invited teachers to play an online quiz-game.
